Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage
Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD)
(RLD) is a unique type of reflexology that focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes in the body by working on specific reflex points on the feet. This multi-award winning technique was researched and developed by Sally Kay (BSc Hons), whilst she was working in Cancer Care supporting clients who experienced lymphodema after treatment for breast cancer. Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD) is a very gentle but highly effective reflexology treatment involving a sequence, where lymph is encouraged to flow, eliminating toxins from the body.

The lymphatic system is part of the body’s circulatory system and it has two functions: to help fight infections and to detoxify the body. A healthy lymphatic system drains excess fluid from tissues within the body. After surgery, sometimes lymph nodes or lymph vessels are damaged or removed, and this can cause lymphedema (a swelling due to a build up of lymph in the body). This is where Reflexology Lymph Drainage can help. It is non-invasive and can help decrease the swelling and bruising after surgery, allowing for a faster recovery. It has the same effect as Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), which is often prescribed by doctors after surgery.

Apart from post-cancer surgery, Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD) is also beneficial for a range other conditions, such as:
-
any auto-immune inflammatory disorders, such as ME
-

-
Chronic fatigue syndrome
-
